Hypnosis is a very enjoyable state of deep physical relaxation and mental focus that allows you to utilize the resources of your unconscious mind. In this state you are able to make changes at the unconscious level that can have a profound positive effect on undesired behaviours, habits, phobias and performance. What Hypnosis isn’t
Although Hypnosis is an altered state it is NOT a state of unconsciousness or loss of control. In the trance state, you will be very aware of your surrounding and everything that is happening. The trance state is always under your control because you are the one who creates it with the help of the Hypnotist…it is not something that the Hypnotist does to you. This means that you have the choice to completely control the depth of your experience and end it at any time.
A Typical Session
You’ll find yourself taking a seat in a comfortable chair and we’ll discuss Hypnosis. If you wish to discuss what you want to work on then you can do so, although hypnosis can also be very effective even when working “content free”. Then you’ll be invited to close your eyes and enjoy a very relaxing trance which will allow you to access all the resources of your unconscious mind to work on whatever you have chosen to work on. The actual trance portion typically will last from between
30-45 minutes. Some times one session is all a person may need, other times several sessions may be required.
